Making a difference

During the labor and birth of my second child, Rosie was a great source of comfort to me.  She has a gentle spirit that is automatically calming.  When something wasn’t working for me, she was quick to make other suggestions.  She was a fabulous advocate for me during my birth.  I especially liked the way Rosie took charge in the hospital room—not in an overbearing way, but in a quiet way in that she didn’t wait for anyone’s permission to do something; she did what she needed to make me comfortable.  There became a time during a very intense point in labor when I asked (begged) for pain relief.  Knowing that a natural, medicine-free birth was what I desired, Rosie was extremely encouraging and rallied by me, yet at the same time very supportive of whatever decision I would make.  Because of her, I was able to focus and give birth the way I wanted. - Lavanna Zaman

You have touched my heart in a special way. I will never forget the wonderful task that you helped me through. You will always be in my thoughts. Thank you so very much. -Mandy Hunter

I was 34 years old when I had my first child.  I previously had 3 miscarriages.  My fourth pregnancy was very special.  Rosie, my husband and our moms, were by my side during the delivery.  I was blessed to have had Rosie there.  She spoke up and encouraged me so much, while my family was not even sure what to do.  I felt much more comfortable with her presence.  My family and I were touched by her enthusiasm.  Rosie cheered me on and kept me going when I needed it most.  You’re the best Rosie!  -Mandy Finklea
